Supportive tools should support the plan

Taping, orthotics, rehab products, and home tools are useful only when they solve a specific problem.

Supportive tools can help, but they should not replace assessment or active care. MPR may use Kinesio-style taping, orthotics guidance, rehab products, home exercise tools, and training modifications when they support the plan.

Kinesio-style taping may be used to support joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, posture, or movement awareness between visits. It is not a cure; it is an input that may help the patient move or tolerate activity differently.

Orthotics guidance may be considered when foot mechanics, footwear, running injuries, ankle or foot pain, knee pain, or everyday loading patterns suggest the foot and ankle are part of the problem.

Rehab products and home tools may be recommended when they help the patient carry the plan outside the clinic. The standard is simple: if a tool does not reduce friction, improve follow-through, or support the treatment goal, it does not belong in the plan.
